The Atkins Diet

The Atkins Diet is famous for its high association with weight loss. It focuses on controlling the levels of insulin in the body through diet, so it will focus on cutting the food group carbohydrates due to its high content of energy or calories, which will mean more storage of calories.  Instead users consume more protein food sources. The good thing about this diet is when related to weight loss it would be a big plus, but for healthy diet styles it would be not so good. Cutting carbs would mean less essential nutrients coming from that food group.

Studies have shown that this kind of diet offers people less weight gain, less diseases, and a longer life expectancy, but it is quite hard to maintain.

Mediterranean Diet

The diet for southern Europeans emphasizes lots of plant foods, fresh fruits as dessert, beans, nuts, and cereals.
