Life can simply be very overwhelming for someone who experiences panic attacks. Most people who experience panic attacks go to doctors in an effort to reduce the frequency of these attacks and sometimes with the hope of completely eliminating them. For a lot of people who have this sickness, their ultimate goal is to stop it from ever happening again. When you reduce or stop your panic attacks, your life will become bearable. So, how to deal with panic attacks and anxiety? What can you do to reduce their frequency or completely stop them without going to the doctor?
You must exercise. This is one of the most important things which you must do if you want to reduce the frequency of your panic and anxiety attacks. Exercise reduces stress. Stress is something which triggers panic attacks or anxiety attacks. It also releases endorphins to the brain. Endorphins are a feel good substance which will alleviate your mood. Exercise daily and do it early in the morning to make you feel good all day long.
Avoid caffeine in any form, be it coffee, cola, or chocolates. If you really cannot avoid the temptations of chocolate then you must reduce or limit your intake as much as possible. Caffeine can cause some of the symptoms of panic attacks. So if you want to avoid panic attacks, you must avoid caffeine.
Reduce your sugar intake. Sugar is a stimulant which your body does not need. It can bring feelings of anxiety and it increases the chances of having an anxiety attack.
Do not forget to take your vitamins! A number of studies have shown that Vitamin C will reduce the effects of stress on your body. Vitamin B can also keep your nerves healthy and, of course, you should not forget magnesium. Magnesium is good for your heart and people say that it even reduces palpitations.
Eat foods rich in Omega-3 like tuna. Studies have shown that Omega-3 is very effective when it comes to the treatment of depression. Depression and anxiety go hand in hand so if it is good in treating depression, it must also be good in treating anxiety.
