The Benefits of a Lumbar Extender

Posted by GuestPoster.

Lumbar ExtenderBack pain is a common condition that afflicts a great number of people in the United States and around the world. Research suggests that many individuals suffer from back pain at some point in their lives. The most frequently documented reason for back pain is improper posture, or placing excessive strain on the muscles of the back through the improper use of fitness equipment, or lifting objects that are too heavy. An ab chair or lumbar extender are devices which can be used to help relieve back pain.

To properly use a lumbar extender, one should place the device at the level of his or her shoulders, and then stretch the back muscles. The arch made should be consistent with the natural curve of the back. Knees should be bent, and arms stretched towards the ceiling for best results. The device can be placed into a variety of different positions in order to create a little extra tension wherever one feels he or she needs it the most. Through the use of such a device one will be able to see a difference in his or her flexibility and range of motion. It only takes 5-10 minutes twice a day to begin to see good results.

For those who have abandoned performing crunches or sit-ups because of the strain such daily exercises place on the back and neck, the abdominal chair may be the perfect solution for ab exercises. Ab chairs have become very popular in spas and fitness centers as they eliminate the possibility of neck or back injuries. It is for this reason the ab chair was designed, as well as the reason for its success on the health and fitness market. These chairs can support a person who weighs up to 250 pounds, making them an ideal piece of exercise equipment for almost anyone.
